Ana Novoa appointed as the new Secretary of Neobiota

During the 2022 Neobiota conference, Ana Novoa was appointed as the new Secretary of NeoBiota, the European Group on Biological Invasions.

Ana Novoa is based in the Institute of Botany of the Czech Academy of Science. Her research to date has been focused on the ecology and management of alien species. She is generally interested in the history of introduction, ecology, distribution, and management of invasive plants globally. She is also involved with projects that aim to understand the human and social dimensions of biological invasions.

Ana is the Thematic Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the journal Management of Biological Invasions, and an Associate Editor for the journals Biological Invasions and KOEDOE. 

In her new role, Ana will be promoting the NeoBiota group, managing its election processes, and collaborating with the organizers of the Neobiota conferences.
