Introducing ‘Invasions in Aquatic Systems,’ an upcoming NeoBiota special issue
‘Invasions in Aquatic Systems’ is an upcoming Neobiota special issue, focusing on biological invasions across freshwater, estuarine, and marine ecosystems.
The issue will primarily feature papers presented at the Neobiota Conference held in Lisbon in September 2024, alongside other high-quality contributions on related topics. Guest editors Pedro Anastácio, Filipe Ribeiro and Paula Chainho will oversee the selection and publication of articles in the issue.
Submission deadline for ‘Invasions in Aquatic Systems’: 31 January 2025.
The journal NeoBiota is a continuation of the former NEOBIOTA publication series founded in 2002 by the working group of the same name. This group meanwhile evolved into "NEOBIOTA, the European Group on Biological Invasions" and decided in 2010 to transfer the publication series into the open-access, peer-reviewed journal NeoBiota.
Indexed in more than 60 databases, and Q1 in its Web of Science and Scopus categories, Neobiota is a leading journal on the underlying mechanisms and associated consequences of all types of alien species and biological invasions.
