The recent IPBES IAS Assessment identified significant gaps in lists of alien taxa in the Global South. The purpose of the special issue is to help address these gaps. Submissions are welcome of papers that explore checklists and lists of alien taxa from the Global South covering any aspect of biological invasions (including those on pathways, taxa, and sites). Specifically:
• papers that outline workflows and protocols needed to compile lists;
• papers documenting the processes and experiences of developing lists;
• analyses of how particular issues (e.g., conflicts of interest) were addressed;
• assessments of the benefits of published lists (e.g. awareness, consequent regulations, changes in industry behaviour); and
• data papers with lists.
Specific contributions (including lists themselves) from Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America can alternatively be considered in related special issues to be published concurrently in the journals African Biodiversity & Conservation (https://www.abcjournal.org/) and Bioinvasiones (https://bioinvasiones.cl).

Outlines and abstracts to the organising team by 17 January 2025.
Manuscript submission deadline: 30 April 2025.
The intention is for papers to be published on-line as they are accepted with a deadline for acceptance: 31 December 2025.
Closing of all three special volumes: early 2026.
